The ability to let go and relax in all ways - physically,
emotionally, mentally and spiritually - is at the philosophical
centre of Taoist practices and the core of all
Tai Chi - BK Frantzis
Downton School of Tai Chi (tai-ji)
Tai Chi is one of the most complete systems of personal development
ever devised. In a Tai Chi work-out, every muscle, ligament, joint,
lymph node and internal organ of the body is exercised. The movements
of Tai Chi are smooth, relaxed and flowing.
The smoothness of Tai Chi practice relieves stress and brings poise
and balance to all your movements. When practiced in the mornings
the relaxation that Tai Chi develops spills over into the activities
of the day. Based on the principles of Chi Gung (energy development),
Tai Chi will help to balance the intrinsic energy of the body and
encourage robust health. For martial artists and athletes, the energy
work in Tai Chi will bring increased power and efficiency.
Dragon and Tiger Chi Gung
A new class called "Dragon and Tiger Medical Chi Gung"
will be starting on or near Wednesday 11th June. See chi
gung page for more details of what Dragon and Tiger can do for
you, and the classes page for details
of lessons.
