"After having finally settled in after moving from London after 30 years I looked round for some form of exercise....
You would think 3 golden retrievers would be enough but I wanted something for the whole body that I could do at home as well. Having been a judo player in the past for 16 years I knew something about the martial arts and similar forms. However, with a knee replacement and arthritis to cope with I needed something gentle and beneficial. Having spotted the Tai Chi classes in Wilton I thought that this might be for me. Attending a couple of classes I knew it was just what I wanted.
Patrick (an ex judo player too) and Jane are excellent teachers and constantly remind us of the 70% rule. This is simply not to do the movements 100% of your capacity which for many older people is too much. Whatever you can manage up to 70% is the rule. I always enjoy the classes and come away feeling better. If you are looking to improve your general health and wellbeing within your abilities, however limited, give Tai Chi a try."
